此重製版本是為了紀念押井導演的最新作「The Sky Crawlers」的公開，運用最新的 3DCG 技術將全片的影像重新製作。值得注意的是在押井守其他作品中也經常看到的、以新聞播報員和為眾多作品配音知名的 榊原良子也成為本片新血，將擔任與公安 9 課為敵的駭客「傀儡師」的全新配音。

The year is 2029. The world has become intensively information oriented and humans are well-connected to the network. Crime has developed into a sophisticated stage by hacking into the interactive network. To prevent this, Section 9 is formed. These are cyborgs with incredible strengths and abilities that can access any network on Earth.

Ghost in the Shell 2.0 is the digitally reproduced version of Kôkaku kidôtai; a hacker known as the Puppet Master is hunted by a female cyborg cop and her partner.

四個同住一間宿舍的女大學生，所學都是戲劇表演。某次的作業是研讀劇本《雙重不忠》，結果劇中情節對她們的真實生活產生奇妙的影響，尤其是她們如何處理愛情、性慾、信任、背叛、犯罪、藝術等人生課題。

Once again exploring the complex world of the theater, Rivette examines the intertwined relationships of four actresses studying with a renowned director (Bulle Ogier). While rehearsing for a production of Pierre Marivaux's "La Double Inconstance," they are visited by a mysterious stranger (Laurence Côte) who 

develops an intimate relationship with each of the women while concealing his motives. As in Rivette's earlier films about the stage, the boundaries between the "real lives" of his characters and the play-within-the-film are effortlessly blurred, the director's career-long contemplation of performance in everyday life.
